The number of Japanese nationals who are proficient in English has been increasing, but it is still rather low. Most people attribute this to the Japanese education system, which gives a lot of attention to writing and reading comprehension, but conversation practice is neglected. Several members of Niseko Central participated in the English Fun Night in Niseko this week, where more than 200 high school girls from Osaka gathered with one main purpose – to talk in English! We made a list of the five most common questions in case you find yourself in a similar situation!
