Looking to immerse yourself in authentic Japanese culture while visiting Niseko? Then get ready for the very special Geisha Experience in Otaru, only a short trip from Niseko, over two special evenings. Experience a unique Japanese dinner with the last seven geisha in Hokkaido, where you'll enjoy a night of traditional geisha dancing and games, for a truly memorable Japanese experience.
With the few geisha that do perform in Hokkaido each year, usually only in the city of Sapporo, this is a very rare opportunity that is normally not accessible to the general public. With the event proudly presented by our friends at Kutchan Tourism, the Geisha Experience in Otaru has been arranged especially for visitors to Otaru, and nearby areas like Niseko, so that they too can enjoy a traditional geisha experience at an exclusive price.
Following the success of the event last winter, the Geisha Experience in Otaru is proudly returning again for another year to mesmerise audiences once again.
The ticket price includes transport to and from Niseko to Otaru, so the experience is an ideal addition to your winter holiday in Niseko. You will get to enjoy free time to explore Otaru before dinner with a visit to Sakaimachi Street, where they can enjoy glass-makers, music box museum, seafood shops and bakeries; Otaru canal; and also stopping at the Old Aoyama Villa, where you'll discover even more about Japanese culture. See traditional art forms like Japanese paintings, calligraphy, intricate woodwork and handcrafted roof tiles uncommon to the area.
