Another scorching weekend in Kutchan saw us all head down to Ekimaedori to celebrate the birth of the potato...or something like that! Beautiful weather, great food and fantastic entertainment at the Kutchan Potato Festibval (or Jaga-matsuri) 2014.
Temperatures topped 30 degrees again, the sun shone, the beer flowed and potatoes were consumed in every conceivable fashion - my personal favourite being the donut.
The tougher people took on the Hanazono Hill Climb - a 14km bike race up to the top of Mt Annupuri...very brave (or foolish?!) while the rest of us enjoyed the entertainment down in Kutchan. Top prize for the winner of the Hill Climb? Some spuds of course!
